I have found a great craft in altering Mason Jars. These are glass jars that are typically used for canning. I have made several myself and have used most in gift giving. This guidewill givestep by step instructions for making one and also give ideas on how you can use your gepleted project.
First you will need to get some mason jars. You can find them at craft stores, flea markets, and yard sales. You may even have a few in your basement! These jars gee in a variety of sizes and any size will be fine.
Now, here is a list of supplies you may want to have on hand:
Your Mason Jar
Acrylic Paints
Mod Podge or similar decoupage Medium
Tissue Papers or Rice Papers
Yarn Fibers
And any other embellishments you like
The first step I take is to pick a theme and paint the jar accordingly. For example I did a jar with an oriental theme and painted the jar a deep green and tan.
Let the paint dry. This will not take too long as acrylics dry rather quickly.
Apply your papers, stickers, etc and coat with a thin layer of glue.
When you have decorated the glass part gepletely, cover the surface with your decoupage medium.
While you let that dry, you can start working on the lid. You can paint it, cover it with more papers, or leave it as is.
Now, for a festive look, take the yarn fibers (about 3 lengths) and glue them around the outer edge of the lid. Let the lenghts dangle down like ribbons.
Ok, now you have the finished project. Looking pretty good, but what the heck do you do with it???? Here are a few ideas:
Cut a slit in the top of the lid and use it as a bank
Fill it with dry ingredients from a recipe. Attach the recipe card to the dangling yarn fibers. Use as a gift!
Fill with a larger candle for a great illumination.
Fill it with handwritten coupons for a loved one.
Use it as a coffee or tea cannister
There are so many different uses! I'm sure you will gee up with even more.

The folded USA flag- the meaning of each fold
The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.
The second fold is a symbol of our belief in the eternal life.
The third fold is made in honor of the veterans departing our rank who gave of their life or a portion of their life for the defense of our country. That peace maybe attained throughout the world.
The fourth fold represents our weaker nature, for asAmerican citizens trusting in God, it is in Him we turn in times of peace as well as in times of war for His divine guidance.
The fifth fold is a tribute to our great country, for in words of Stephan Decatur, "Our country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right, but it is still our country, right or wrong."
The sixth fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The seventh fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces for they protect our country against all her enemies, whether the enemies are within or outside the boundaries of our republic.
The eighth fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that wemight see the light of day.
The ninth fold is a tribute to womanhood, for it has been through her faith, love, loyalty and devotion thatstrong character ofmen and womenhelped mold this country. This fold honors mothers and the USA flag is flown on Mothers Day.
The tenth fold is a tribute to father, for he too has given his sons and daughters for the defense of our country since it was first born.
The eleventh fold represents teh God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The twelfthfold in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies God the Father, the Son andthe HolyGhost.

How to put baby hand-prints in your scrapbook
Have you ever tried to make a hand-print from your little-one? If your baby is like my son (s)he will crumble up the fingers and make it real hard to make a nice print before you have ink all over the page, your clothes and the baby's face.
Whenmaking hand-prints for a babyalbum, card etc.:
Scan a picture ofthe hand into the geputer by placingthe hand flat down on the glass plate in the scanner.
Transfer the picture to Paint (any photo editing program will of course work) and change the picture into the colorsyou want
Print it on the smooth side of a transparency using an ink-jet printer.
Let the ink dry for at least a few minutes and transfer it to paper the way you use a rub-on. (for on how to make your own rub-on see the guide by yourmemoriesbydesign-ymbd) The ink can dry for more than an hour and you will still be able to use it.

Find a Dollhouse Home for Your Barbie or Bratz Dolls
Find a Dollhouse Home for Your Barbie or Bratz Dolls
This guide should help you find a suitable habitat for a stylish doll like Barbie or the Bratz Dolls, that is also suitable for your child and your home!
Barbie tends to spread her clothes, shoes and accessories all over a little girl's home. Maybe if Barbie had a home of her own, she could be a little more organized? A Barbie-sized dollhouses was on my Christmas list for many years, when I was a little girl! I was very excited Santa brought one for me (... umm I mean for my daughters) a couple of years ago! However, after assembling it and now dusting it every week for almost a year, I am less pleased with it! I wish we had the flat back bookcase style dollhouse that offers more options! This dollhouse can take up ALOT of space and stores very little.
Here is the one we have by Step 2. This was a bargain price, (and still is) but the footprint is huge! If you have a large enough playroom, this is a great sturdy dollhouse. This also works outdoors as well! The PROS: Sturdy, virtually indestructible, wide open and easy to play with! The drawbacks: very little space in the rooms for doll furniture. The stairs in the middle design makes for a deep narrow rooms in the first floor. Unless you raise the dollhouse off the floor, the first floor is hard to play with. Also Barbie tends to take many spills down her staircase when she is in the 2 upstairs rooms! Again the placement of the stairs takes a large amount of what would have been useable play space! The attic area is very narrow and barely fits an armchair ( Barbie and friends tend to fall off the floor) The footprint of this dollhouse is too big for the play space offered. The dimensions are 46 inches H 32inches L 22 inchesW. We took off the balcony entrance way portion ( in pink in the photo below) ofthe front of this dollhouse, and can now place it up against a wall.

The dollhouseis bright and trendy and probably the choice of a fashionable Barbie or Bratz doll. The solid wood 14 piece furniture set is also brightly painted wood in natural with neon green, pinks and purples. The dollhouse sacrifices stairs for added space. Any hip Barbie can figure out how to get around without stairs! The 4th floor even depict a treadmill artwork along the wall.

They have to beam up to the 3rd floor though!
Kidkraft Savannah Dollhouse

Georgia Peach Dollhouse
You will not be disappointed in a Kidkraft dollhouse. Theyare constructed of sturdy wood frames, and MDF board backs and sides. They are designed to be placed up against a wall. When not used by dolls, they can also serve for other storage space. The furniture sets are included, andare all the furniture that would fit gefortably in these dollhouses. All rooms are easily accessed. They are beautifully decorated and look great! Barbie will still need to keep her Barbie suitcase for all her clothes though. No closet space!
Need an evenmore spacious solution? Try the giant 3-story wooden dollhouse! Maxim manufactures one, as well as some others. They used to be more readily available but now only seem to pop up around the holidays.
This is a huge dollhouse designed to fit up against a wall. Many dolls can party in this house! However, the biggest drawback for this one, is construction. Although the frame is solid wood ( rubberwood) the walls and sides are laminated melanine board. They can bow out of shape and have form and fit issues. The floors can also bow even when they are not heavily loaded.
Some of the nice features include swiveling stairs that can easily be repositioned and out of the way, to help dolls get from floor to floor. This dollhouse measures 39 inches x 15 inches Dx 56 inches H, about half a foot wider than the Kidkraft dollhouses, and a few inches taller. The dollhouse furniture has to be purchased separately for these type of dollhouses. Furniture sets are usually all plastic construction and sold in geplete sets.
For sturdier furniture, purchase Barbie or other brand name in individual sets, bedroom vanity, kitchen, living room ,etc. For example, the Barbie Play All Day Kitchen Set was a big winner for us. (We use it in our huge Step 2 dollhouse) Usually, these sets gee with a lot of little accessories, dishes, etc, which the kids love!
Looking for a solid wooden dollhouse that you can personalize? Try the Quickbuild Barbie size dollhouses offered by Real Good Toys in Vermont.

Quickbuild Dollhouse by Real Good Toys
Some things to consider prior to and after purchase:
Measure your space and make sure the dollhouse will fit.
If you are selecting a model without furniture, ensure you also find furniture to fit at the same time. Many times the furniture sells out faster than the dollhouses and it harder to find!
Always read the reviews! Many other parents, grandparents and family friends have purchased the dollhouse you may be considering. See what their experiences were regarding value for the money, easy assembly, durability over some time, and playtime.
Ensure the dollhouse gees with a warranty against any defects, and the seller will help you get replacement parts if needed.
Always open and inspect all parts when you receive it. Check the parts list to ensure you have everything, and no parts are damaged.
Don't wait to assemble the night before you are to give the dollhouse as a gift. Although assembly may seem pretty straightforward, there is always that one missing screw or the panels that don't fit quite right. Reliable manufacturers like Kidkraft offer full customer support and will assist you in getting any part or screw you lose or are missing. However, they won't be there for you at midnight on Christmas Eve!
The best part is the look on the little girl's face when shesees the dollhouse for the first time. The funniest part is watching how the dolls use the house:
This is Disney's Princess Jasmine at work on her geputer in our dollhouse... hmmm? Maybe Mommy needs to take a hint!
Thanks for your time, and I hope this has been helpful to you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I not only sell dollhouses but I enjoy them as much as my kids do!

Sculpted Dropouts: An Advanced Puzzle Cutting Technique
Sculpted Dropouts (An Advanced Puzzle Cutting Technique)
Sculpted dropouts are an advanced puzzle cuttingtechnique where the puzzle cutter cuts away and discards small pieces of the puzzle as it is being cut in order to produce recognizable shapes such as silhouettes, words, numbers, pictures, etc. This is done by careful planning prior to actual cutting. Cuts are made in precise locations to achieve the desired result. Sculpted dropouts make the puzzle more challenging to solve and more unique and aesthetically appealing.
I want to first clarify that there are other types of dropouts besides sculpted dropouts. For example in the picture below, the arrow points to a dropout. This tiny dropout section is merely the background and is not a sculpted dropout. It is irregular in shape and can not stand alone on its own to form any recognizable pattern, shape, etc.
dropout above, is not a sculpted dropout
A sculpted dropout is a special kind of dropout that forms a recognizable shape, pattern, silhouette, letter, number, word, picture, etc. This guide shows some of my previous work utilizing the sculpted dropout technique. I also illustrate the difference between simple, geplex and interactive sculpted dropouts as well as solid and outline.
Sculpted Dropouts: Simple
A single dropout which by itself forms a recognizable shape, silhouette, letter, number, etc.
The picture below shows a section of a puzzle with two simple dropouts representing birds in the sky. When the entire shape is dropped out (and not just an outline of the silhouette), I call this"solid."
simple sculpted dropouts, solid
Simple dropouts can not only represent silhouettes of animals (or people, objects, etc.) but numbers or letters as well. Dates, titles or other text can be dropped out of a puzzle to acheive a very unique effect.
simple sculpted dropouts, solid
Sculpted Dropouts: geplex
Multiple dropouts that work together to form a recognizable shape, object, pattern, etc.
The example below shows 4 paw prints. Each pawprint is made up of 5 separate dropouts. Alone, each of the 5 dropouts would not form a recognizable shape but together they make a paw print. Thus, four "geplex sculpted dropouts" are shown below.
geplex sculpted dropouts, solid
Some sculpted dropouts don't necessarily need to be geplex in order to make a recognizable shape. (They could have been designed as a simple sculpted dropout for example.) But some sculpted dropouts are geplexly designed in order to keep the puzzle as interlocking as possible. For example, if I had cut the United States dropout shown in the photo below as one continuous sliver, then the section of puzzle within the dropout would no longer be connected to the rest of the puzzle.
When only the boundary of a silhouette is dropped out (and not the whole thing), I call this"outline."
geplex sculpted dropout, outline
The sculpted dropout of the wolf below is another example of an instance where using a single dropout section would have created a puzzle within the puzzle. While it is possible to do so, it is generally not desirable because the section within the dropout will not interlock with the rest of the puzzle.
geplex sculpted dropout, outline
Sculpted Dropouts: Interactive
Separate dropouts (either simple or geplex) that are placed in such a way so that they relate to one another.
Below are two separate droputs (both geplex sculpted dropouts- butterfly and cat) that are interacting with each other. The cat is trying to catch the butterfly. This is a good example of interactive dropouts.
interactive geplex sculpted dropouts, outline
The example below shows a series of simple sculpted dropouts (numbers and numerical symbols) working together to form an equation. This particular dropout is also considered to be appropriate because it is correctly placed within the picture on the puzzle. (Note the writing on the chalkboard.)
(appropriate) interactive simple sculpted dropouts, solid
Another example of an appropriately placed interactive dropout is shown below. It is made up of a gebination of simple and geplex sculpted dropouts. The gepleted puzzle was that of a jaguar at rest; it looked like he was having happy dreams. I placed this "thought bubble" near his head to give the effect that he was dreaming about his next prey, a deer. (You are seeing the reverse side of the puzzle.) The animal is a simple sculpted dropout (solid), while the surrounding bubble and dots make up a geplex sculpted dropout- the thought bubble.
(appropriate) sculpted dropout gebination(simple, geplex, solid, and outline!)
Occasionally there may be a sculpted dropout that is a little more tricky to classify. The example below shows a fish (simple sculpted dropout, outline) inside a fishbowl (simple sculpted dropout, outline) with a cat on top (simple sculpted dropout, outline) staring down at the fish (interactive)! Notice that the cat and fishbowl were cut out with one continuous line! While both the fish and the fishbowl are simple sculpted dropouts, the gebination of the fish inside of the fishbowl is a geplex sculpted dropout. (You may not have recognized it as a fishbowl without the fish.)
All of the examples shown above were taken from photos of my hand cut wooden jigsaw puzzles made in the past. I hope you have enjoyed reading about sculpted dropouts! (gements about this guide may be made by clicking here.)

Poly resin cameos for variety
Bonded poly-resin is the most versitile of the materials for creating cameos'.
Usually mis-labeled 'resin' the functional diffrence is in it's ability to hold shape, color and form ; while adding strength.
The 'poly' may be sand - glass under heat- marble , plastics , stone ,wood. tree sap ; also kown as amber { with age }the resin is the grinding into sand type particles.
The bondind is joining together to form the shape.
The primary reason I like this medium is a gebination of it's strength and lasting properties .
Less likely to break it is more likely to hold it's color , shape and texture throughout the years .
A now gemonly used came material ; it is often confused with resin. Rarely do dealers bother to mark , partly from indiference on their part ; mostly on the need to explain .
When a cameo is in high relief ; it is usually bonded poly resin. 3-D cameos' are plastic, or bonded poly resin. In everyday terms resin is usually placed as the material.

Stash some CASH for the FUTURE Buy US Savings Bonds
$25.00 Stashed Now = $50.00 LaterI started using this system for my children when they were born. And each of them bough cars with money from Savings bonds.I told friends and family NOT to buy them junk, to buy them Bonds!16 Years later, each of them bought cars.(not new cars, but cars) AND they each still have some to spare! When I started selling on okay back in 1997. As a single mom, trying to make ends meet, I could never seem to save money.Had a savings account and always seemed to DIG into it.Then I started buying Savings Bonds!Every time I went to the bank with my pile of Money orders and checks,I would buy at LEAST one Bond!okay is my full time job!okay has been my career of choice!I have been buying savings bonds so that I will have SOMTHING to fall back on someday!Could be retirement, could be for an emergency, WHO KNOWS?But at least I have something put away for myself! Many people tell me how I could make so much more with my money if I would buy CD's orput it in an IRA account, BUT my point is, I can not SAVE enough money and leave it aloneto even purchase anything like that.If my kids need something, I would dig into my savings and use it.Now at least I have STASHED some CASH for MY Future!I want to encourage all Self-employed people selling on okay to think about doing this too!You MUST think about the future and TRY to do something!Doing SOMETHING is better than doing NOTHING!
healthy water
Are you aware that not all bottled water is good for you? Are you aware that water is not FDA approved? Water isnt categorized as a food, so it doesnt have to be evaluated! You may think that water is life, and water is good for you, and if it is good healthy pure water you are right! I am not talking about drinking bad water from a ditch or anything here. We already know THAT can make you sick! NO! I am talking about bottled water.Did you know that the plastic used to bottle most water can release toxins? And since water sometimes isnt FDA approved, there also may be some bacteria in it. Bacteria thrive on heat! Here is a scenario I think will hit frighteningly close to home. You buy a large amount of bottle water, and put it in the trunk of your car. You leave it there because "hey, water doesnt spoil!" and just put a few in your fridge. Or you leave it in the trunk for emergency purposes (its a good idea to keep things in your car in case you get stranded somewhere.... blankets, first aid, water nonperishables etc). The sun beats down on your car and heats the water. It cools, and the next day, it heats again. over ond over. But water doesnt go bad right? WRONG.A friend of mine recently became very very ill. She didnt know what was causing this sickness, but she felt like she had been poisoned. This lasted for 6 whole weeks. It finally got to the point that she was vomiting yellowish bile. She did everything to get better. She ate healthy foods and got plenty of rest and drank 8 glasses of bottled water a day. Finally, she researched her symptoms. And lo and behold. The water she was drinking to be healthy and flush her system was actually making her very very verrrry sick. She could have died. As soon as she stopped drinking that water (which by the way she buys in bulk and leaves in the back seat of her van) and started drinking water from glass bottles which she kept cold at all times, she got better. She is now doing fine, but it could have done alot of damage.Heated plastic releases toxins. The toxins get into the water. And the bacteria from unevaluated bottled water THRIVE on heat. So, double whammy, you have poisons AND large amounts of bacteria in your water. What can you do to have safe healthy water?1. Keep all drinks that are in plastic bottles refrigerated.2. If you must store the water unrefrigerated, buy Glass bottles. If you cant afford to buy the glass bottled water, go to the grocery store, buy the glass bottled applejuice, and keep your water in that bottle! great moneysaver, and reusable!3. If you choose to use tap water instead of bottled, they make great filters you can screw right on to your faucet!Stay healthy, and get your 8 glasses of H2o in folks, but be safe!NOTE: Many stores dont keep their water cold. But stores are usually air conditioned. So, they arent out in the heat constantly. Even sitting in your kitchen floor or cabinet, its better than the heat of your trunk!
Make Fancy Burp Cloths from Plain Cloth Diapers!
Burp cloths are expensive. But who wants to take a plain ol' boring white cloth diaper and use it? I love to look fashionable and have my blankets match my children's clothing. It's easy to make your own super cute burp cloths even if you don't sew! First, buy a pack of plain white cloth diapers. You can usually get a pack of twelve for 10-14 dollars. Get a nice brand and nice fabric content, after all, you will be using these A LOT. Now decide which of these is something you can do (or do a couple of the ideas!)Buy iron on appliques. Peel the back off and iron them on! You can leave them like this, or you can add a thin line of paint outlining the applique to keep it nice looking. Get ric rac or other fancy trim. Use a simple sewing machine and sew it on in a straight line. Or use fabric glue!Cut pieces of fabric yourself and use fabric glue to glue them on. Use a light pencil or washable marker and draw or write your child's name or initials or other cute sayings and then use paint to make it permanent.Ribbon makes great bows and fabric glue will help it stay put.The results are fantastic and the best thing is, YOU are the artist. You can make them match that favorite John Lennon outfit or do a theme of animals. Just remember, before you begin, wash the burp cloths before hand and any fabric you will be using. Try to use soft ribbons and embellishments, beads and sequins will just scratch babies face or pop off and be a choking hazard.

Gumbo "Stew of the South"
This is a hard recipe to write down. Everyone has their own special twist. I learned from my mom who learned from her mom and so on. So here it is to the best of my ability. To those who have never made gumbo before, one word - PRACTICE. And contact me through okay mail if you have any questions.
Ingredients:
1 package chicken thighs (6)1 package chicken breast (4)6 stalks celery, chopped (leaves and all)Parsley flakes to taste2 sections of a garlic clove, minced1 onion, chopped1 package of sausage, sliced (whole sausage, NOT ground)File (ground up sassafras leaf to you Yanks)FlourGrease (solid shortening)1 can chicken broth or 4 bullion cubes1 black iron skillet, small1 black iron Dutch oven, largeWater
Instructions:
Brown onions and celery in shortening.
Add sausage. Brown.
Add chicken (skinned) and brown.
Then add chicken broth or bullion cubes and 4 cups water. Add garlic and parsley flakes.
Simmer on medium until chicken falls apart. Keep adding water as it boils off to keep Dutch oven s full.
Remove chicken and cool. Debone. Chop chicken into bite sized pieces.
Melt 4 T shortening in small iron skillet. Add flour until makes a thick paste (like making gravy).
When flour is browned add 2 T of file ("fee-lay") and stir until mixed gepletely. This is your roux. BTW, it's supposed to be greenish.
Turn chicken and broth up to boil. Add roux to boiling pot of chicken and broth.
Turn down heat immediately and let simmer. Do not let boil after adding file.
Season to taste with Tony Chachere'sCreole Seasoning.
Serve with:
Cooked long grain rice and crackers.
Peeled sweet taters roasted in the oven in a little shortening, sprinkled with black pepper and salt goes especially well with this.
Add a big ole cathead biscuit served with mayhaw jelly (a small apple like fruit that grows in the swamps) to top the meal off.
Some people add okra (a green pod vegetable) or tomatoes to their gumbo. We don't likeit thataways- but you may want to try it.
You can substitute seafood for the chicken or in addition to the chicken.
Even better the next day. Freezes well (make fresh rice each time).
Gumbo is supposed to be thin sorta like soup. Serve in bowls and eat with spoons.
Season To Taste: I'd start out witha tsp (a shake or two) of your favorite seasonings mix (I use Tony's Creole Seasoning. As long as it's not lemon or rosemary, you can use almost any mix of garlic, onion, celery, parsley, pepper, etc.), and then add more - remember you can always add more, but you can't add less.

Folding the United States Flag
Step 1
To properly fold the Flag, begin holding it about waist high with another person so that the flag isparallel to the ground.
Step 2
Fold the lower half of the stripe section lenghtwisebringing up to the fielld of stars, holding the bottom and top edges securely.
Step 3
Fold the flag again lengthwise with the blue field on the outside.
Step 4
Make a triangular fold by bringing the striped corner of the folded edge to meet the open (top) edge of the flag.
Step 5
Turn the outer (end) point inward, parallel to the open edge, to form a second triangle.
Step 6
The triangular folding is continued until the entire length of the flag is folded in this manner.
Step 7
When the flag is gepletely folded, only a triangular blue field of stars should be visable.

cameo fun and fashion rings
This is a guide to help those who consider cameos up-scale only ; to realize the greater versitility.
The subject here is the ring. Cameo ring to be exact.
As a ring cameos have been around a very long time .The early rings were incredably lovely , and expensive .
Thanks to the advent of the gebination of poly-resins for strength and durability and the adjustable size new rings ; it is now possible to have a lovely cameo ring for a very reasonable price.
The considerations for this are simple , choose a ring you like, that will adjust up and down - important- many go in one direction- check with your jeweler or sales person.
Choose one that is dutable; poly-resin will give you the strength and color fastness without the weight.
Wear and enjoy. It is really that simple.
The only warning ; as with all cameos' chemicals are an enemy, remove or wear gloves when using chemicals . Please remember, perfumes - most- are chemical based.Avoid direct application. Clean with plain water and gently cotton dry.

A Linen Collectors Dictionary (Part III): Abbreviations
Searching for vintage textiles on okay can be an overwhelming proposition. There are many qualified sellers offering an array of striking items and sorting through their auctions can be quite daunting-especially to the novice collector. This guide is the third segment in a three part series and deals specifically with gemonly used abbreviations. Begeing familiar with them can help you better understand what the seller is offering and can sometimes help narrow a search for a specific item. It is important to remember that not all sellers use these abbreviations, so it is probably best to perform two searches, one for the full word and one for the abbreviated term, if you want to make sure you see everything!

Taking care of your Sealed Lead Acid Batteries
By watching a few simple rules, you can extend the lifespan of the sealed lead acid battery that operates your UPS power backup, emergency lights or motorized vehicle.
The sealed lead-acid battery is designed with a low over-voltage potential to prohibit the battery from reaching its gas-generating state during charge. This prevents water depletion of the sealed system. Consequently, these batteries will never get fully charged and some sulfation will develop over time.
Finding the ideal charge voltage threshold is critical and any level is a gepromise. A voltage limit above 2.40 volts per cell produces good battery performance but shortens the service life due to grid corrosion on the positive plate. The corrosion is permanent. A voltage below the 2.40V/cell threshold strains the battery less but the capacity is low and sulfation sets in over time on the negative plate.
Driven by diverse applications, two sealed lead-acid types have emerged. They are the sealed lead acid (SLA), and the valve regulated lead acid (VRLA). Technically, both batteries are the same. Engineers may argue that the word 'sealed lead acid' is a misnomer because no lead acid battery can be totally sealed.
The SLA has a typical capacity range of 0.2Ah to 30Ah and powers personal UPS units, local emergency lighting and wheelchairs. The VRLA battery is used for large stationary applications for power backup. We are looking at methods to restore and prolong these two battery systems separately. The Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery
SLA batteries with mild sulfation can be restored but the work is time consuming and the results are mixed. Reasonably good results are achieved by applying a charge on top of a charge. This is done by fully charging an SLA battery, then removing it for a 24 to 48 hour rest period and applying a charge again The process is repeated several times and the capacity is checked with a final full discharge and recharge.
Another method of improving performance is by applying an equalizing charge, in which the charge voltage threshold is increased by about 100mV, typically from 2.40V to 2.50V. This procedure should last no longer than one to two hours and must be carried out at moderate room temperature. A careless equalize charge could cause the cells to heat up and induce venting due to excessive pressure. Observe the battery during the service.
An adjustable power supply works best for service. Set the current limit to the lowest practical setting and observe the battery voltage and temperature during charge. Initially, the cell voltage may rise to 5V, absorbing only a small amount of current. In about two hours, the small charging current converts the large sulfate crystals back into active material. The internal cell resistance decreases and the cell starts to clamp the voltage. At around 2.30V, the cell accepts charge. If the sulfation is advanced, this remedy does not work and the cell needs replacing.
Sealed lead-acid batteries are gemonly rated at a 20-hour discharge. Even at such a slow rate, a capacity of 100% is difficult to achieve. For practical reasons, most battery analyzers use a 5-hour discharge when servicing these batteries. This produces 80% to 90% of the rated capacity. SLA batteries are normally overrated and manufacturers are aware of this practice.
Cycling an SLA on a battery analyzer may provide capacity readings that decrease with each additional cycle. A battery may start off at a marginal 88%, then go to 86%, 84% and 83%. This phenomenon can be corrected by increasing the charge voltage threshold from 2.40V to 2.45V and perhaps even 2.50V. Always consider the manufacturer's regemended settings. Cyclone batteries require slightly higher voltage settings than the plastic version. Avoid setting the charge voltage threshold too high. In an extreme case, the limiting voltage may never be reached, especially when charging at elevated temperatures. The battery continues charging at full current and the pack gets hot. Heat lowers the battery voltage and works against a further voltage raise. If no temperature sensing is available to terminate the charge, a thermal runaway can be the result.
The recovery rate of SLA batteries is a low 15%. Other than reverse sulfation, there is little one can do to improve SLA. Because the SLA has a relatively short cycle life, many fail due to wear-out.
Water permeation, or loss of electrolyte, is a concern with sealed lead acid batteries. Adding water may help to restore capacity but a long-term fix is uncertain. The battery begees unreliable and requires high maintenance.Simple Guidelines
- Always store lead acid in a charged condition.- Never let the open cell voltage drop much below 2.10V. - Apply a topping charge every six months or when regemended.- Avoid repeated deep discharges. - Charge more often or use a larger battery.- Prevent sulfation and grid corrosion by choosing the correct charge and float voltages.- Avoid operating lead-acid at elevated ambient temperatures.

Unappreciated Genealogy Resource: CD-ROM Books
Many people research their family's history and enter their family data into a software package like Family Tree Maker. Unfortunately, with the massive amount of information available on the internet - today's genealogists may conduct their 'research' by copying other people's family files on genealogy-related web sites like Gen-Forum or Gen-Circles.
The problem with accepting other people's research as valid is that if there are errors in the web-based data then there will be errors in your data - and the errors will be perpetuated by you when your files are copied by others who figure that your information must be correct. Its on the internet isn't it? It must me true.
Fortunately, today there is another resource available to genealogists via the internet that will probably be much more accurate. On okay, on any given day, the genealogist can find literally thousands of books that relate to their research. Of these thousands of books, many hundreds can be bought in digital format on CD-ROM.
This is good for two reasons. First, the CD-books are much less expensive than paper books. For example, a county history published in the 1800's may cost anywhere from $50 to several hundred dollars - while you may find the same book, scanned into a digital format, for $10 - $25. Secondly, because these references are available to more genealogists for less money - the references cited in genealogies are much improved. (As any real genealogist knows: if you cannot cite a source- the data is suspect.).
When researching a surname or group of family names, the genealogist may be able to find one or more books that examine the specific names, or may be able to find a book that covers a lot of surnames (including the names of interest) within a State, County, or City.
The best CD-books are scanned into AdobePortable Document Format (PDF). A reader is available for every platform and operating system, for free, from Adobe Systems on thei web site. The Adobe Reader will allow you to read the book by flipping through the pages on your geputer screen. Sellers that provide a quality product will also go to the trouble to link the book's index to the pages with Adobe PDF 'hyperlinks' so the reader can browse directly to the page of interest. A quality CD-book will also be searchable usig the Adobe Reader.
If you are a family genealogist like I am, don't neglect the extremely valuable resources available from a number of different sellers on okay: the CD-ROM Genealogy

Types of Cookware
Choosing what type of cookware you are going to buy can be a long and painstaking task if you don't know exactly what you want. We've put together a glossary of our categories explaining each type of cookware and bakeware. The difference between an OK meal and a fantastic meal can all lie in the right frying pan or the perfect roasting pan.
Braiser
Meat tastes great when it is slow cooked. Braisers allow meat to tenderize and soak in flavor. They are available with or without a lid. Braiser pans look very similar to stockpots, but have lower sides to cook meat. Handles on either side make it easy for you to take them off the stove when they are done.
Casserole
A casserole is a large, deep, covered pot or dish used both in the oven and as a serving dish. The foods usually prepared in this pan consist of vegetables and sometimes meats, pastas, or rice that is cooked slowly in sauce or another liquid. Depending on the material it is made from, it may be used on the stovetop but is generally used in the oven. Unlike a roasting pan, a casserole is usually round or oval shaped, and it is available with a lid and is often sized by quart capacity.
Chefs Pan / Saucer
This pan is equipped with a wide mouth and rounded, flared sides that can easily acgemodate whisks and spatulas and eliminates tight corners where food can stick and burn. The flat bottom and wide mouth helps accelerates the evaporation of liquids. A chef's pan most often will have a long handle and a tight fitting cover. It is made of a metal with a thick ground base that allows temperature changes to occur rapidly as the level of the heat applied to it changes, either increasing or decreasing for the best heat conduction. This makes this pan a great choice for sauces, risotto, pastry cream, or anything else that requires constant attention and frequent stirring. Chef's pans are available in a variety of sizes ranging from 2-6 quarts.
Crepe Pan
Crepe pans have a very similar design as frying pans. They are perfect for making breakfast. The biggest advantage crepe pans have over other types of cookware is that they heat up very quickly because of their very low sides in relation to the cooking surface. They are typically around 10 in diameter in order to fit multiple crepes or pancakes.
Double Boiler
A double boiler consists of two pans where one sits inside of the other. The bottom pan is slightly larger so the top pan can fit inside. The bottom pan contains hot water and the top pan holds the ingredients that are being cooked. They usually have attached loop handles. This pot is useful for steaming vegetables, meats, and fish. Sometimes it's also used for melting chocolate.
Dutch Oven
Dutch ovens are heavy, relatively deep, pots with a heavy lid, designed to re-create oven conditions on the stovetop. The Dutch oven is wider and shorter than a stockpot. Other variations of this type of pan include casseroles and braziers. The pans name is mainly the choice of the manufacturer and is usually based on the relationship of height to width and the material it is made of. This pot can be used for stews, braised meats, soups, and a large variety of other dishes that benefit from low heat, slow cooking. Its capacity is usually measured in quarts and run from about 2 to 8-quarts in size.
Fondue Set
Fondue sets can be used in a variety of ways. Smaller versions are best equipped for heating up dips or melting chocolate. Larger models can be used to slow cook meat in sauce. They are typically heated with a burner that is fueled by either gel or a special alcohol. Smaller fondu sets can simply be heated from the small flame of a candle.
Grill Pan / Griddle
This is a flat pan that has moderately sized ridges spaced evenly across the bottom that closely resemble an outdoor grill surface. They can be used like a frying pan for grilling meats, fish, and vegetables. The ridges raise the food off the bottom surface of the pan, which helps prevent the food from steaming as it cooks. The ridges also serve as a method for allowing the fat contained in some foods to drain away from the food and collect in the spaces between the raised ridges. Many materials are used for making stovetop grill pans but those made of cast iron are considered the best because it retains heat more consistently. This pan is available in round, square and rectangular shapes and range in size from 9 to 12 inches. There are also double burner sizes available.
Pressure Cooker
Pressure cookers look like other kitchen pots, except their lids are a bit more elaborate. How they work is that they gepletely seal the pot. When the liquid inside boils, it is trapped inside the pot. Having nowhere else to go, steam builds up pressure. This results in higher cooking temperatures and shorter cooking times. This pot helps to reduce cooking time by as much as 50% without destroying the nutritional value of the food. A good pressure cooker is made of a highly conductive metal, like aluminum, or is made of stainless steel with a heavy aluminum or copper sandwiched base. It will have a number of safety features, such as safety valves and automatic lid locks, and two or more pressure settings for versatility. You can cook most anything in the pressure cooker, although to be sure, it is better suited for foods that require long cooking times, such as soups, stews, beans and grain dishes.
Roasting Pan
Roasting pans are large, wide and shallow, to provide space to cook a roast chicken, beef, or pork. They typically have two loop or tab handles, and may have a cover. Roasters are usually made of heavy gauge metal so that they may be used safely on a stovetop following roasting in an oven. The shape of this pan and its low sides, allow the heat from the oven to expose the entire surface of what you are cooking. These pans are gemonly equipped with a rack for mounting meat as well as a nonstick surface suitable for oven use.
Sauce Pan
The saucepan is considered a kitchen essential and will usually be the most frequently used pan. This pan ranges in size from less than 1-quart to approximately 6-quarts. Though the name precludes it to be designed for preparing sauces, it is used for cooking fruits, vegetables, soups, and stews. These pans are round with an elongated handle, and they may be sold with or without a lid. Larger pots of the same shape generally have two handles close to the sides of the pot, and are called sauce pots or soup pots.
Saut Pan
Saut pans share some of the attributes of a frying pan, except that its bottom is flat, and its sides are straight and deeper, allowing the food to be in more direct contact with the heat source so that cooking is quicker. They are also equipped with a long handle and a lid, and sometimes you'll find them with a short helper handle opposite the long handle. Saut pans are available in a variety of sizes ranging from 1-quart to 7-quarts. As the name suggests, a saut pan efficiently browns and cooks meats and a variety of other foods.
Skillet / Frying Pan
The skillet and fry pan are used primarily for frying and sauting. Although the two names are often used to describe the same pan, the major difference is a skillet will have a lip on one or both sides that facilitates pouring, a fry pan does not. Frying pans offer a large flat heating surface and shallow sides, and are best for frying meats, fish, and vegetables. Many people also use it for preparing scrambled eggs and omelets. It is very gemon for a frying pan to gee with a nonstick surface. Sizes range from 6 inches to about 14 inches in diameter, and about 2 to 4 inches high. They are usually equipped with an elongated handle. These pans are primarily made of heavyweight material that is responsive to heat, such as lined copper, stainless steel with a copper or aluminum core, anodized aluminum or cast iron. Frying pans may be sold with or without a lid.
Steamer
This pan is equipped with holes on the bottom and is designed to be inserted into a larger pan. It should be is placed over a larger pan partially filled with water or stock below the level of the smaller pan, causing the steam to cook the food in the top pan. A cover is necessary to contain the steam. Some steamers are available with multiple tiers, allowing you to steam two or more foods at once, always placing the food that requires less cooking at the top.
Stir-fry Pan
This is a deep pan that has a round base and sides that slope out and upward. This pan efficiently distributes heat across the base while the sloping sides make it easier to stir and turn ingredients as they cook. Stir fry pans are available with several different sized handle lengths that can be selected to match your cooking needs. Stir fry pans are often used to prepare and quickly sear multiple ingredients that go well together including various meats and vegetables mixed with sauces. The stir fry pan is good for cooking food in a small quantity of oil and for retaining the colors and textures of the various ingredients.
Stockpot
Stockpots are a bigger version of sauce pans. Their large volumes, ranging from 2 quarts to over 50 quarts, require handles on either side instead of one long one. Stockpots are most often used for cooking pasta, but are versatile enough to handle almost anything.
Wok
Woks are typically lens-shaped. This allows a small pool of cooking oil to be heated to a high heat using relatively little fuel, while the outer areas of the wok are used to keep food warm after it has been fried in the oil. This pan is typically used only for stir-frying, but they can actually be used for anything from steaming to deep frying. There are two different types of Woks available for use at home. There is the traditional wok which has a rounded bottom and is used over a flame heat source, such as a gas burner. Then there is the flat bottom wok which was designed to use on an electric burner or a ceramic stovetop but can also be used on a gas stove. The wok is excellent for preparing large quantities of food with relatively little time.
Braiser
Meat tastes great when it is slow cooked. Braisers allow meat to tenderize and soak in flavor. They are available with or without a lid. Braiser pans look very similar to stockpots, but have lower sides to cook meat. Handles on either side make it easy for you to take them off the stove when they are done.

Myoffeine Diet Pill Review
Myoffeine is a Testosterone Booster/Diet Pill in one product. It contains a whopping dose of caffeine anhydrous which really gets you buzzed and feeling full of energy. Along with caffeine Myoffeine fat burner contains and ingredient called Synephrine. Synephrine is Ephedra's (Ma Huang, Ephedrine) chemical cousin. They work in a relatively similar way but Synephrine does not pass the blood-brain barrier making it far safer than Ephedra. So you get the same great positive results without the side effects. The Caffeine/Synephrine based formula is a potent 1-2 pumch for fast and safe weight loss. What makes Myoffein really unique is that its not just a fat burner. Its also a testosterone booster. It contains L-Glutamine, L-Arginine, Catuaba, and Tribulus Terrestris. L-Glutamine (the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue) is one of the more popular bodybuilding supplements sold today. A recent study showed a 400% increase in Growth-Hormone levels when L-Glutamine is supplemented. L-Arginine is an essential amino acid that has a special function related to dilation(widening) of blood vessels. Studies show that arginine increases levels of nitric oxide, which is the body's most potent vasodilator. Keeping blood vessels healthyand wide open ensures optimal delivery of nutrients, hormones, and oxygen, while promoting the removal of waste products. Research of subjects taking arginine have experienced significant improvements in muscle growth. Catuaba is a Brazilian herbal medicine, Catuaba bark is considered a central nervous system stimulant with aphrodisiac properties and a bark decoction is used for nervousness, poor memory, and sexual weakness. Apparently the Topi Indians have known about the sex-enhancing properties of catuaba for many centuries. Recently catuaba has begee one of the top selling testosterone boosting herbs as well as a top seller for helping to "Pump up" certain muscles for men. Tribulus Terrestris is used for its testosterone boosting properties more than anything else. Studies have shown that users may have over a 50% increase in testosterone levels when taking Tribulus Terresteris. You'll be happy to hear that Tribulus Terrestris is NOT a hormone! Viking Cue Guide for Buyers
The geplete guide with pictures and additional information can be found in my okay store on this page
So you're interested in buying a Viking Cue Stick? Fantastic choice, but the options can be a bit daunting. This guide will help you figure out the myriad options offered by Viking, and select the cue that is right for your tastes and your budget. First, let's take a look at Viking's current product line.
F Series Introduction
Viking currently offers 112 cues - each of which can be customized to suit your tastes. Your first job is to select which cue you'd like to start with from the F-Series, numbered from F01 through F112. The F112 is a jump/break cue with two joints, all of the other cues are standard one-joint cues. F100-F111 cues have screened graphics on the cues, featuring images like Wolves (F103) or Eagles (F101). The lowest priced Viking is F98, which begins a range of solid-color cues that continues through F91. As cues increase in price from there, expect to find more intricate inlays, consisting of pearl and exotic woods like Vermillion, Snakewood and Osage Orange Wood.
No Wrap Cues
There are several cues that have no wrap - meaning the pattern in the wood continues the length of the cue. These cues have no linen wrap - F78, F58, F16, F07, and F02.
Once you've selected your cue, you then have a list of no charge options to decide on. The two that you must select are cue weight and shaft diameter. Optionally, you can also select some of the colors in your cue (wrap color, stain, pearl), or you can purchase the cue exactly as pictured in the Viking catalog.
No Charge Custom Options
Every Viking cue offers you two custom options at no charge - cue weight and shaft/tip diameter. Cue weights from 18oz - 21oz can be chosen, in quarter-ounce increments. Available shaft diameters include 12mm, 12.25mm, 12.5mm, 12.75mm and 13mm. The vast majority of Viking Cues also allow you to choose your wrap color from 27 choices. The only cues that don't allow to select your wrap color are the ones with no wrap - listed above in the "No Wrap Cues" section.
Additional No Charge Options
Most Viking Cues also offer your choice of Stain color at no charge. Several cues feature the ability to choose the Vinyl or Pearl color.
Okay, now we've narrowed down your choice of cue, the weight and diameter, and also the color-related no charge options. Viking also offers many other options that incur a charge. Changing the joint is one of the most popular options, and adds about 2-3 weeks to the shipping time.
Joint Change
Each Viking Cue gees standard with one of six joints. The joint can be changed from the standard joint for a charge, usually around $30. The vast majority of Vikings feature Joint #5.
Viking Joint Options
Each joint gives a different type of hit, which refers to the way that energy flows through the cue. In most cases, joint selection is stricly a matter of personal preference. All joints feature a quick-release pin except #4.
Joint #1 - Provides a firm hit
Joint #2 - Gives a hard hit
Joint #3 - Double-threaded to provide a very hard hit
Joint #4 - Gives a soft hit and has a 3/8 - 10 pin
Joint #5 - Gives a soft hit
Joint #6 - Hustler-style true wood-to-wood joint provides a soft hit
Alright, now that we've got the basics covered, it's time to investigate more options. If you need further customization, you've gee to the right place! Viking offers all kinds of additional options for a small fee. Let's start with changes to the sizes of the cue.
Custom Cue Sizing
If you need a cue that is lighter than 18oz or heavier than 21oz, Viking can do that for you. Prices start around $15, and expect this to add 2-3 weeks to your shipping time. Viking also can make you a cue with a shaft diameter under 12mm or over 13mm - this is also around $15 and 2-3 weeks additional shipping time. Need a cue longer than 58" (the standard cue is 29" each for the shaft and butt)? No problem, they can do that, too. This starts from around $15, and can add 2-4 weeks to the construction time. You can also request a custom taper, starting at $30.
Cue Engraving
Viking offers many ways to customize the appearance of your cue, in addition to the color options mentioned above. The most popular of these options is engraving. You can have up to two lines of engraving (maximum of 25 characters per line, including spaces) added to the butt of any Viking cue. The cost is around $25 per line, and it will add about a week to the standard shipping time. There are three font choices: Block, Roman or Script.
There are several other options available for altering the appearance of your cue. We'll cover wrap and butt color options next.
Wrap Options
The vast majority of Viking Cues also allow you to choose your wrap color - but did you know that you can choose Leather wrap? Leather wrap is available in three colors - black, brown and black ostrich embossed. Upgrading to Leather wrap is around $80, and will add about a week to the standard shipping time. You can also choose to have no wrap on most Vikings, so the wood will continue throughout the butt. The cost for this varies widely by cue model, starting from about $75, and it will add 3-6 weeks before shipping. There are several Vikings that gee with no wrap, as mentioned above.
Butt Cap Options
The color, material and size of the butt cap can all be customized to meet your needs. Standard colors available are black and white. Butt cap changes start around $15.
Just a few options left!
Tip Options
LePro Hard tips are standard on all Viking cues. As you might imagine, Viking will substitute a different tip for you. Choose from Buffalo, Champion, Crown, Elk Master or Triangle tips to suit your personal preference. Tip changes cost about $10.
Jump/Break Conversion
Most Vikings can be converted to a jump/break configuration, where a second joint is added to allow for easy jump shots. Figure to spend at least $100 and add a couple of extra weeks to shipping time.
You've selected the perfect cue, now geplete it with the perfect accessories. Viking offers many items to enhance your cue purchase.
Viking Cue Cases
There's no better way to protect your new investment than by storing and transporting it in a Viking case. Viking offers a full line of cases - starting with a single soft case bearing the Viking logo. The soft case can hold one geplete stick - one shaft and one butt, and is around $30.
Viking Hard Tube Cases
Viking also offers 6 synthetic Leather hard tube cases, ranging from around $60 to $190. The Leather cases are available in your choice of black or brown. The cases are named by the number of butts and shafts that they can hold - a 3x6 case will hold 3 butts and 6 shafts. The cases are available in the following configurations: 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x4, 3x6 and 4x8.
Joint Protectors
Viking offers a full set of joint protectors to geplement their 6 joints. Joint protectors are a great investment in protecting your cue. Prices start around $12.

Christmas gift ideas for adult guys.
Well it's that time of year again. Trudge down to Wal-Mart or the mall and fight the crowds. Or maybe this year we'll do it smart and shop on okay. Well maybe this guide can solve the problem of what to get the guy in your life this year. Where you get the money, I'll leave for a future guide. LOL You know your guy best so this will only be a guide to help spark the imagination. I will leave out the obvious clothes. We all need clothes but we also want other things. Does he like to fish, if so a new rod and reelis always appreciated, and no we don't already have enough. Be careful though, what he fishes for will determine what kind of rod and reel he needs. Look at what he already has or ask some of his fishing buddies. If he reads, a new book or two from his favorite author, or maybe a bookshelf for the den so he can proudly display his collection. Maybe he likes working on cars. Does he need a roll around toolbox to keep his tools in all neatly sorted out. Does he workout? If so a membership to the local fitness center might be appropriate. Or if he is a coach potato I have a guide for movies he may like. If he is into geputing, there are always new gadgets available. Or maybe a new digital camerawould work in nicely with his geputer interests. Maybe there is some new software he has been wanting. Whatever his interests are I am sure there are items related to it that I am sure he would enjoy. Or hey maybe a cellphone so he won't have the excuse that he wasn't near a phone.Hummmmmmmmm maybe something quite out of the norm, maybe a ride on a hot air balloonfor the two of you or a weekend getaway for just youtwo. Leave the geputers and cellphones behind and let it just be your weekend together. Whatever you get him, know that it will be special because it came from you. Have a wonderful holiday season and Merry Christmas.

A Great Inexpensive Gift Idea for Children in Your Life
Many adults have heard of Second Life, a 3D online digital world created and maintained by its' worldwide cyber residents. It's a very cool online social concept, that has since been followed up by "Teen Second Life". Now there is a virtual, social playground for pre-teen children, and it revolves around the new toys,Webkinz .To the casual observer, Webkinz are just stuffed, plush animals. But to the thousands of children that own them, they are the gateway to an exciting online world at wekinz.ge. If you haven't heard of them yet, you will soon, as the holiday shopping season starts. The makers of these toys, Ganz, Inc., have purposely kept their marketing of these toys very low key. At this time, they are relying solely on word of mouth and in-store promotions done by a select few retailers. Once a Webkinz animal has been "adopted" is when the real fun begins. Each animal has its' own unique online code that unlocks its' cyber-world counterpart. After logging in and filling out their "Kinz" adoption paperwork online, children are able to live out their new pets' virtual life. They can visit with their online friends, play games and take care of their new "pet".Ganz have produced a "safe" online toy as well. All of the online chatter between "inhabitants" is scripted, although you are able to vary it to some degree (you can't just type in words, phrases have to be picked
Fake Diplomats Dipset Items Beware
I will like the time to thank all the wonderful fans of Dipset, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones Duke The God and so on that support the Diplomats Movement faithfully like I do.
But lately I choose to address this major issue thats taking place on okay. There is a lot of unrealistic Diplomats articles being sold on okay.
Please take in to notation Dipset Clothing And Diplomats Records is a Real trademark gepany through Diplomatic Man Inc founded by Cameron "Killa Cam"Giles.
Meaning lets say you had a printing press and theF.E.Dsran in there you can be prosecuted for any single item with the Diplomat eagle.
Everything I purchased or sold with the Diplomats logo was straight from Diplomatic Man Inc. All airbrushed and creative original drawings of different Dipset members are not violations of any laws.
Let me give you an Actual scenario 1: I bided on Rap Hip Hop Rare Dipset Juelz Santana 2 CD SET NR At A Starting Price Of $1.99 with a shipping price of $5.95 US priority.
When I Received the item it Actual was this
Thats not only wrong, because if I wanted a back up copy I could have download from a file sharing site. That was copyright infringement and also disrespect to the creator of the gepact disc.
Let me give you an Actual scenario 2: I seen several listings of 59 50 authentic custom made diplomats fitted hats for starting auctions of $0.99 cents-$29.00 with MLB holograms.
Due to copyright difficulties and at my boss Jim P request I will not show a current Pic
First, and foremost those are Limited Ed. Fitted hats that you will have to order personally from the Diplomats source.
Second, and foremost the price per fitted hat will run you.... with a 50pc min order. And question does Cam'ron or any of the Dip's play for the Yankees? So, why will a custom 59/50 have a (MLB) Major League logo? Because its not real. Stop swagger jacking. You making it hard for the real people to eat!
Also Dipset does not make blue, grey, and mustard color sweaters! You know who you are, 80 percent 0f whats being sold has nothing to do with Dipset Diplomats Duke The God production. Beware of the phonies, not all shirts but most shirt will have a tag like this:
We will Hoffa, Sincerly Silent Fashions Assit. President...

Kawasaki KLR 650 DP bike 2007 Road test good bike ?
I just got this KLR 650 2007 NEW froma Local Dealer ,Columbus Ohio . .I looked for months for a" Fair" or even closeto fair deal on a used one ,but most people as well as Dealers wanted a new price for theirused and beat to deathor dumped JUNK, and never looked at the NADA Blue or brown book.. So I broke down and over spent for new , If I had it to do over I would have went out of thisstate to get a better deal . The savings would have been worth it ! And Dealer backing is meaningless ,At least in this aira (we are all hillbilly Republicans here and don't need consumer protection laws).Read on!
First item was the Dealer made the clam that they did some assembly ,implying that the bike was not shipped fully assembled ! And burned me for handling and assembly . When I took delivery of the machine ,I road it home in the rain with great care, slow .Thank GOD . It is the tallest bike I have ever had and it was a bit strangefor thefirst time ride! I only liked it for design reasons . It is not fuel injected best of all " Fuel just runs out of the tank into the Carb no fuel pump to break down. Another item the book that came with the bike stated its ok to run it on part grain alcoholbut you might need to re jet or adjust the carb richer for E85 . I may build a still !And the plastic will not bust into small peaces if dropped its Tupperwere and it will happen sooner or later ,Murphy,s, law.As well the KLR is what ourmilitary uses .but they are rebuilt by F1 engineering co. and some are multi fuel diesels"Iracgets them on the Tax payers backs at goofy prices,we can't buy them". Bestthey are some what simple to work on ,NO geputer to fail or adjust !But As far my bikeI will never take it back to the Dealer that burned me ,for any repairs or buy any thing from them what so ever, no matter of how good the deal looks. Orlet some dumb Dealership kid screw up parts that my life depends on,THEY are not real pros Just kids working a summer job to pay for school in the fall. And the following is why I say that ! (actualy unemployed now)
The Bike needed lowered ,I am 5 foot 10 inch tall and if I stopped over a low spot in the road or a hole in the ground I would be on my tip tows or maybe just drop the whole thing. Undeterred I knew Icould lower it some how !Of course the dealer was no help at all with a lowering linkkit when I made the deal and at least 2 of the dealers parts people acted real stupid as to what I was talking about . They said that they could not find one listed in their parts book . I found 6 differentlowering link kitson the WEB ! Some steel others Stainless steel and most some sort of Aluminum Alloy .Went with one from Performance-Design.they are avery old maker of lowering links made ofAL.Alloy.Powder coated black. One problem with Stainless Steel! I have seen it work harden and crack and your life depends on that part its not good .Stainless Alloy is soft work hardens and breaks.Aluminum Alloys also do not hold up well, but most will bend a little before breakage.Performance DesignAlloy looked good but over priced$80,but they have made them for years and they lowered the bike something like 1 and 5/8 inch "I did the work myself instructions very good". That works for Me . Side stand also needed lowered some thing like 1 and1/4 inch .Cut and re weld your self or buy a shortened one $49.However the lowered ones you can buy may be a little over lowered.Low and behold when I removed the bolts for the OEM linksONE bolt was almost just finger tight ,the other was 75 foot lbs or more .(Standard) . Now if the bolt would have cameout riding home I would have went down fast The loose boltwas the only thing holding up the rear end swing arm! The bolt was not nutted with a ni lock or lock tight or a cotter key and castle nut .THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS ! When I installed the lowering kit I pushedone set of needle bearings out the far side ,and to my surprise the bearings hadNO grease or oil on them at all ,Just a fine coat of shippingwax like gees on all new bearing just out of the box and wrapper . So I removed the other set of bearings to check same . It was the same deal NO OIL or GREASE ,more or less bone dry !Nice touch Dealer andor Kawasaki ! Bolts replaced and threads coated with Locktight 242 ,Blue! And bearing cavity filled with 90 syntheticwt. gear oil untill it ran on the floor as well as soaking bearings and seals with silicone grease.Hay the bearings could have had a grease nipple ,if you go through water often it would have been a nice touch, But you don't get Quality any more at any price ! Hello Ralph Nader please gee home!
Seeing that I did not want tostake my life on the ROTTEN job the Dealeras well asKawasaki did on assembly ,andfor areal high price at that !.I started looking at everything .This is what I found . Front head light faring screws finger tight . Wind screen not even finger tight (loose as a goose). Right side tank faring screws one tight,ONEfinger tight . Left side Battery cover side plastic Loose, ready to fall off . Dealer charged battery up who do you think did some of this crap! What dose that tell you .Speedometer cable Loose at wheel (REAL LOOSE)and cable dry as a bone ,I coated it with cable moly lube .(dealer screwed up again!).Muffler bolts 2 out of three loose "And I got a recall letter on that one "Fixed that my self ,can't trust dealers.Muffler Drain bolts(plugs) needed Anti Seize lube or high heat grease of some kind(almost stripped them out removing them brand new! ) Re- Taped holes and replaced plugs with heat proof grease ! (Kawasaki did that one) .Drive Chain to rear wheel .not lubed at all "Bone dry" Thanks dealer nice touch ! That a sealedO Ring chain, but itsoutside will rustif not lubed .Brake and Clutch handles not lined up the same on handle bar, fixed that to (dealers falt mabe) Handle barnuts and bolts not real tightand noLocktight used . Nice quality job ! Clutch not adjusted right . To much free play . Engine Oil level almost to low ,At bottom of sight glass with bikeCHEAP on the oil . "Thanks dealer" For checking that one two ! It(the oil)is supposed to be at the top of sight glass if you do a lot of off road work .I do ! Last thing !The light bulbs all of them did not have electric pin sealing grease ,"All cars from Japan do anymore". The spark plug boot also had no waterproof sealent . Almost All world cars have waterproof Sealent in the Spark plug boots now. And The battery terminals had no grease sealentto keep the oxcide from forming .Also one more time *Nice Job Kaw

HD-TV Myths
According to the media, high definition televisions are the best thing since...well, standard TVs hit the showroom floor. But are HDTVs everything they say they are or is all a bunch of hype? Before making the leap and purchasing a top-of-the-line HDTV make sure you know what is fact and what is fiction. Myth #1: With an HDTV all shows you watch on any channel will be in HDSo you've finally caved and purchased an HDTV. You settle in your lazy boy with a bowl of popcorn prepared to be 'wowed', because now that you've got an HDTV, ALL your shows are going to be in high definition. Right? Wrong! Unfortunately there's a little more to it than just plugging in a fancy TV. First of all, the show needs to be shot in high definition. Secondly, the program you're watching has to be transmitted by a high-def station, like Discovery HD. And thirdly, you're going to need an HD receiver, such as an antenna or satellite dish, to process the signal. Myth #2: Digital TV and HDTV are the same thingSorry, one of these things is not like the other. Digital TV is the umbrella term that engepasses all digital formats, including standard digital television (DTV) and high definition television (HDTV). With a standard digital TV, "snow" and "ghost" images are a thing of the past, and the resolution and audio may be better than a regular analog TV, but with an HDTV the results are much more dramatic. For one thing, to even qualify as high definition, an HDTV requires a minimum of 720 lines of horizontal scanning instead of the standard 480 lines, giving you four times more resolution. [show a diagram to illustrate this] Myth #3: Bigger is betterBigger is not always better. It all depends on the how far away you sit from the TV. If you're too close, no matter how good the resolution, you're going to see every little pixel on the screen. But going too small isn't a good idea either. If your room is too large for the size of your set, the special benefits of having an HDTV will disappear and you might as well have kept your standard set. Myth #4: Content seen on an HDTV is always better.Although you are seeing four times the pixels, most television content is generally best seen at its native resolution. This means DVD movies that were reproduced at 480 lines of progressive-scan may actually look better on a standard digital TV than on an HDTV. This is because your high definition television has a minimum of 720 lines and will need to artificially scale-up the movie, affecting the quality. With programming produced in true HD quality, like those found on Discovery HD, your television won't have to manipulate the image, giving you the super clear content you expect to see on an HDTV. Myth #5: Plasma HDTV sets are susceptible to burn-inOne big rumor that's going around is that plasma TV sets start out bright, but end up with burn-in within a year. Burn-ins are those ghost images that linger on the screen after being transmitted, and when plasmas first hit the market this was true. Today's high quality plasma TVs have a life expectancy of 60,000 hours - or 8 hours of use a day for 20 years. Myth #6: The higher the screen resolution, the better the imageSorry to disappoint you, but an HDTV with a resolution of 1080p doesn't automatically mean your shows and DVDs will look better than if you had an average 720p set. To date, stations currently aren't broadcasting in 1080p because of broadcast issues. So why are 1080p sets available? It's all about perception. Some broadcasters, including Discovery HD, transmit their HD programming in 1080i (not to be confused with 1080p). The 1080i format uses interlace scanning that reduces the visibility of scanning lines. On a standard TV, programs were interlaced at 480i. At 1080i, the interlacing is more than doubled, resulting in a much clearer image. Myth #7: You'll never have image problems with HDTV Oh, if only this was true. Even though the program may be shot in HD and transmitted using 1080i, the quality of what you actually see at home may vary. What it basically gees down to is how much your cable or satellite provider has gepressed the program when broadcasting it. So if gepression affects the quality, why do they do it? Unfortunately, gepression is a necessity. Each provider is only allowed to broadcast a set amount of megabits per second. Normally this wouldn't be a big issue and some gepression wouldn't affect the quality, but when your provider decides to broadcast many shows at the same time, they have to increase the gepression rate in order to squeeze into their set megabits. The results of increased gepression may not be obvious on smaller TVs, but on large displays you may notice mosquito noise (little dots surrounding a person's head) and macroblock errors which are similar to that effect you get when playing a fast-moving video game on a slow geputer. Myth #8: All HDTV programming is shot with special HD camerasSome stations such as Discovery HD only show "true" HD programming shot in high definition, but not all stations have the same guidelines. Some HDTV programs were originally shot on 35mm or 16mm film and this will affect the sharpness, lighting and colour quality. Other times the director may purposely want his movie to have grainy effect and choose to alter the resolution and picture detail.

David Winter Cottages
"David Winter Cottages" is the trading name for a range of miniature cottages produced by John Hine Limited. Theyhavealways been made in Great Britain - for the most of 1980's exclusively in England until the Wrexham workshop opened in North Wales whichbecame the prime location in the 1990s. David's enormous talent for sculpting in the finest and most exquisite detail and the ability ofskilled craftspeopleto make exact models from his originals resulted in the beautiful David Winter Cottages. The David Winter Cottages collection takes us back to a tranquil existence enjoyed by countless generations, who lived and worked in simpler days gone by. In the mid-1980's the gepany name was extended to The Studios and Workshops of John Hine Limited and this title is currently used on the backstamps of all pieces. The name is gemonly abbreviated to John Hine Studios.
An original David Winter Cottage is always sculpted using standard artists' modelling wax, pale yellow in color and a material ideal for the job - soft enough to be easily moulded but firm enough to retain the fine detail once it has been applied. The detailing usually came quickly. David always worked from the top downwards to avoid smudging what he had already done. His tools included traditional sculpting and dental equipment, but mainly tools he made himself over the years to cater for the specific needs of working on miniature cottages.
Mouse and Owl
One of the great pleasures of collecting David Winter Cottages is to discover the secret of the mouse - a delightful hidden detail that David sculpted onto his work. He added a mouse to many (but not all ) of his sculptures, a secret trade mark as it has been for others before. The mouse has never been talked about officially. Collectors have been left to discover the secret for themselves. In 1991 the mouse disappeared and an owl took its place. The owl supposedly ate the mouse and there is a piece on which the mouse's tail can be seen dangling from the owl's beak. The owl lurks in bushes and is even trickier to find than its predecessor. By popular demand the mouse returned two years later; he can be seen again for the first time on a 1993 Guild Plaque, On the Riverbank. On the same piece you can see the owl flying away.
Cleaning and Care
Here are a few suggestions on how to care for your collection.
1 A dry cloth can be usedto remove dust from large surface areas such as roofs and walls. For getting into the nooks and crannies use a dry, soft paint brush, toothbrush, cosmetic brush or photographer's lens brush. Always brush with the line of tiles, bricks etc.
2. Never use a wet cloth or immerse David Winter Cottages in water. Not only will dampness damage the paint but the piece itself may begin to disintegrate.
3. Keep your cottages out of direct sunlight whenever possible.
4. Do not pick pieces up by the chimney or other delicate feature.
5. Never try repairing yourcottages with superglue or touching up chips with felt tip pens. Have a professional do any repair.
In December 1993 John Hine Limited was sold in part to Media Arts Group Incorporated (MAGI), and later MAGI bought the remainder of the gepany. All cottages' bearing the John Hine Studios label are now retired.

HOW TO BUY A SPOTTING SCOPE
A Spotting Scope is a portable telescope, optimized for the observation of terrestrial objects. The magnification of a spotting scope is typically on the order of 20x to 60x. Other gemon features include: somewhat "rugged" or rubber-armoured design convenient mounting for attaching to a tripod ergonomically designed and located knob for focus control tethered elastomeric lens cap a range of eyepieces to give different magnifications, or a variable "zoom" eyepiece to give a range of magnifications (e.g. 20-60X)The light gathering power of a spotting scope is determined by the width of the objective lens, typically between 55 and 100 mm. All else being equal, the larger the objective, the more heavy and expensive the telescope. There are three types of spotting scope: "straight-through" spotting scopes (the eyepiece is one the same axis as the body of the spotting scope), "angled" spotting scopes (the eyepiece is at an angle of about 45 degrees to the body of the spotting scope), and, rarely, a more geplex, shoulder-mounted design. Straight-through spotting scope are easier to use from, say, inside a car, while angled spotting scopes are more gefortable for tall people and more easily shared by people of different heights. The choice of the eyepiece lens determines the overall magnification. The best magnification is decided by a number of factors. Magnifications of less than 20X are unusual, as (much cheaper and lighter) binoculars or monoculars can provide this. Magnifications of more than 80X lead to poorer brightness and, even on a tripod, shake can be a problem. The field of view is also limited.Usually for birdwatching, 20X or 40X spotting scopes are favoured. This gives a good field of view and a bright image. Amongst aircraft spotters the term "pole" is used as a shorthand expression meaning telescope. The related verb "to pole-off" therefore means reading some identication marks of an aeroplane by using a telescope. Other users might employ the same slang term.Spotting scope manufacturers fall into several groups. At the top end of the market, it is generally accepted that three manufacturers gepete strongly for the ultimate in quality: Swarovski are the most expensive of all, closely followed by Leica, and Zeiss. Several manufacturers produce spotting scopes that are generally thought to be of almost equal quality to the top three, but at about half the price, among them Alpen, Nikon and Yukon.
What's a U.S. Silver Certificate? (Rare
These notes are from the era when your money was Backed by Gold and Silver! Look closely at the bottom of the note: "One Dollar in Silver Payable to the Bearer on Demand". Millions upon millions of these notes were turned-in in the 1960's and SHREDDED when the US Government set a deadline for them to be redeemed for silver. In March 1964, Secretary of the Treasury C. Douglas Dillon halted redemption of Silver Certificates for Silver Dollars. Up until June 24, 1968, you could exchange silver certificates for
.77344 ounces of pure silver (the amount of silver contained in a
silver dollar). However, since that date has long since passed, they
have no official value outside their stated face value. Except to
collectors, of course. In the 1970s, large numbers of the remaining silver dollars in the mint vaults were sold to the collecting public for collector value. Silver Certificates were abolished by Congress on June 4, 1963 and all redemption in silver ceased on June 24, 1968. Paper currency is still valid legal tender without the Silver Certificate, instead being backed simply by the strength of the U.S. economy. According to the U.S. treasury, "The notes have no value for themselves, but for what they will buy. In another sense, because they are legal tender, Federal Reserve notes are "backed" by all the goods and services in the economy."I recently went on a tour at the Federal Reserve Bank. They said every Silver Certificate they find, they shred them. This means there are begeing fewer and fewer of these silver certificates.Always keep in eye out when you get cash back. These are very rare. You will notice that on these bills, they do not have a green seal, but a blue seal._________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________As you can see from the picture, this is not only a silver certificate, but a Star Note as well.Read my review all about Star Notes!Example:_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________If you have found this guide helpful, please vote yes at the bottom of the page. WHAT IS A FAT QUARTER OR FQ?
A Fat Quarter or FQ is 1/4, or one quarter of a yard, only cut on the half yard,so instead of being 9" by 44" as it normally would be cut in a fabric shop,it measures approximately 18" by 22".Many quilters and crafters prefer this cut. It is the same amount of fabric but instead of fabric being narrow and long, 9" x 44", it is twice as wide and half as long, 18" x 22".Many internet sites sell yardage by the Fat Quarter. Hence, a quarter yard being the smallest cut, if you want running yardage you order the number of quarters you need. For example, if you want 1 yard of fabric, you order 4 quarters. If you want 2 1/2 yards of fabric you order 10 quarters, etc.
