SCAM Auctions Warning RIPOFF! READ AND LEARN!

You see Lost season 2 on okay for only $10.25. Ive see Star Wars DVDs for as low as $0.99, and just the other day Click new DVD was $2. But its after you hit the buy it now(BIN) and its yours; you check out the shipping is $19.99, and thats for media mail! Let me tell you this is the worst kind of scam.

Sellers who lure you in with a too good to be true low price only to rip you off with shipping costing three or four times the auction cost. Its crazy that okay lets these scammers get away with these things. In other categories you see a digital camera, great price at $25.00 but when you go to the shipping cost at the bottom of the auction you see that the charge for shipping and handling is $99.00. This is a total rip off, a camera that only weighs a few oz. is costing $99 to ship.

The reason that sellers do this is two fold.
1. Lower okay fees. Sellers pay fees based on the sales price of the item not on shipping. So if the item sells for $10 plus $45 shipping the seller pays less than a dollar for okay fees. If the seller charges $45 for the item and $10 for shipping then the seller gets an okay fee of over $4.
2. Low prices bring customers. When someone is looking for an item they are looking for a good deal, so items that are priced less than other auctions get more people to look at them and also get more bids.

Always read the fine print when it gees to shipping cost. If you see a popular new relese like Click, Over the Hedge, Grey's Anatomy - Season 2 for dirt cheap check the shipping cost! Stay away from sellers who do not list their shipping cost as it can be a costly mistake.
