Bonded poly-resin is the most versitile of the materials for creating cameos'.
Usually mis-labeled 'resin' the functional diffrence is in it's ability to hold shape, color and form ; while adding strength.
The 'poly' may be sand - glass under heat- marble , plastics , stone ,wood. tree sap ; also kown as amber { with age }the resin is the grinding into sand type particles.
The bondind is joining together to form the shape.
The primary reason I like this medium is a gebination of it's strength and lasting properties .
Less likely to break it is more likely to hold it's color , shape and texture throughout the years .
A now gemonly used came material ; it is often confused with resin. Rarely do dealers bother to mark , partly from indiference on their part ; mostly on the need to explain .
When a cameo is in high relief ; it is usually bonded poly resin. 3-D cameos' are plastic, or bonded poly resin. In everyday terms resin is usually placed as the material.
