You've seen Kanye and Lupe wearing them. You may have even seen a certain NT'r wearing them (ahem...) and now you want a pair. You quickly search okay to find out that okay has many pairs in multiple sizes, in all the colors you could ever want! Yeah, you're geek'd...
BUT WAIT!
99% of all the ato's on okay are FAKE. SO, in order to help my other fashionable folk, I decided to help you out with some guidelines that you must follow in order to check the authenticity of such items.
GUIDELINES FOR LEGIT ATO MATSUMOTOS:
-RETAIL IS $305, and that's in Japan! You aren't going to get them for any less than that plus shipping, so think about that. Most brand new pairs go for $380-420.
-Only came in sizes 7,8,9,10,11. No half sizes, period.
-Only came in colors Red, White, Black, Silver (although there was a kiks tokyo x ato collab in red/white/black, but those are LONG sold out.)
-Box opens up from left side when facing box tag.
-Top straps have 3 shoe colored velcro pads, bottom straps have 2 shoe colored velcro pads. Like red ato's have red velcro, black have black, etc.
-A on side has a VERY unique shape. It sticks out a bit and is rounded.
